The Moulding Foundation’s first event raises £70,000 for Lifeshare
The event was supported by Co-op Live, David M Robinson Fine Jewellery, Nadine Merabi, and Clarendon Fine Art.
The Ladies Lunch, hosted this week at the iconic King Street Townhouse Hotel in Manchester city centre, brought together representatives from The Moulding Foundation and Lifeshare, as well as local businesspeople and members of the community.
Anna Jameson, BBC Manchester’s Breakfast Presenter compèred the event, which saw support from a range of businesses including Co-op Live, Nadine Merabi, TONY & GUY, David M Robinson Fine Jewellery, Clarendon Fine Art, mana restaurant, Black White Denim, and King Street Townhouse Hotel.
Through ticket sales, donations, and fundraising activities, the event raised vital funds which will enable Lifeshare to deliver its services to the community until April 2025. The Moulding Foundation and its trustees also agreed to triple the money raised through ticket sales and on the day donations, increasing the fundraise total significantly.
Speaking at the event, Jodie Moulding, Co-Founder of The Moulding Foundation, acknowledged the importance of working alongside independent charities who are deeply embedded in their local community, to shine a light on the work they are doing and drive support for their causes.
Judy Vickers, Executive Officer at Lifeshare, says: “We were blown away by the love and kindness shown towards Lifeshare at The Moulding Foundation’s event. It’s a reflection of the incredible work that our team of volunteers do that makes Lifeshare a truly unique charity, and we’re so grateful that we can continue this work with this substantial investment. Thank you to Jodie and Matt from the bottom of our hearts for making Christmas happen for those less fortunate than ourselves.”
Jodie adds: “Lifeshare, like us, believe that everyone, no matter what their personal situation, deserves an education, access to healthcare, and a safe place to call home. We’re so proud to have raised an incredible amount for Lifeshare, who are providing crucial support for some of the most vulnerable and often overlooked people in our city.”
The event comes as construction begins on Embassy Village, a project that will support homeless and vulnerable men across Manchester and Salford. The Moulding Foundation donated £3.5 million towards the project.
